14th February will be an evening (as it’s Valentines Day) of music, songs, poetry and drama on the general theme of loss and longing. We have some great acts lined up and there will be fizz (to buy!) at the bar. A great evening is in prospect. Do come and bring a friend. Admission free 7.30 start
On March 14th we are hoping that the students from Atlantic College who are currently helping us to paint and repair the theatre will put on their own show illustrating typical theatre in the countries from which they hail - Mexico to Ghana, Singapore to India and many stops in between
Usually monthly, and free to attend, organised by our super star director/actor Camilla Hopkin, these are informal events at the Market Theatre, where newcomers are especially welcome to come, enjoy a convivial evening and learn more about CADS.
Each Clubnight we'll put on a play reading (sometimes in costume), or a Murder Mystery (definately in costume), an Open Mic night (choose you own costume!) or anythng at all could happen!
Doors usually open at 7:30-ish, its free, the bar is open and the evening usually starts about 7:45-ish. Informal, as we say ...
Please contact Camilla Hopkin on firstname.lastname@example.org for up-to-the minute Clubnight info!
Here is what we have coming up in Autumn 2013 :
Sept 13th - The Secretary Bird Revisited - The opening scene of this delightful comedy taken from two different perspectives.
Oct 11th - No Clubnight - we have Blood Brothers, our Autumn production!
Nov 8th - Murder Mystery Night - "You only die once"
After many years of exemplary service M (the head of MI 6) is retiring. And what a bash it is! Friends, colleagues, and even criminal masterminds have put in an appearance. In fact, it would be safe to say that everyone who is anyone is there to see he gets a good send off.
Well, everyone that is except Roger Damsels, 006 3/4, MI 6's top secret agent. When a search is undertaken for the celebrated spy, he is discovered dead in his room, leaving M with one last crime to solve before he can retire.
Dec 13th - CADS Chrismas Bash! A cabaret of poems, skits, scenes and anything else I can find followed by a buffet supper down in the bar.
